Naturalia: Chronicle of Contemporary Ruins

Jonk

From March 9, 2023

Opening on March 9 from 6:30 p.m.

This exhibition will be in place until the “Nature Forte” program has started.

New photographs will be installed over the sales.

Jonk presents 16 photographs from its flagship series Naturalia: Chronicle of Contemporary Ruins from 50x70cm paper printing to direct printing on Dibond in 120x180cm.

Through this series, Jonk raises the fundamental question of Man's place on Earth and his relationship with Nature. Nature is stronger than man, and whatever happens to man, it will always be there. At a time when man's impact on his environment has never been greater, this series also seeks to raise awareness, without being pessimistic. Man builds, man abandons. Each time for its own reasons. Nature has no interest in these reasons. One thing is certain, when man leaves, nature comes back and takes everything.
