"By declaring it dead, we forget how strong Nature is. Yesterday, imprisoned in a vase or a basket, flowers and freshly picked fruit rubbed shoulders with game in a promised pot. "Still Life" in northern countries, it was pronounced dead in Latin countries. Premonition? Outdoors, arranged as a landscape, Mother Nature is a powerful reminder that artists know how to sublimate climatic or volcanic disturbances. Where she cracks architecture, she provokes a taste for ruin. Contemporary art now knows how to extract beauty from its debris, recycled and magnified. From these upheavals, artists appropriate the signals to transform them into militant works. When nature reclaims its rights, art wins every time. So in the 21st century, at the crossroads of old categories that have become obsolete, a new genre is taking shape that resonates with current events and the ecological emergency: strong nature. Within it, artists of diverse styles and techniques aim to create, in the service of the environment, an art that celebrates Nature in all its majesty."
