PIERRE-JEAN CHABERT

Pierre-Jean Chabert discovered and practiced clay turning and modeling since childhood, on a farm in the south of France, his native region. He learned modeling in an autodidact way to produce his creations, and drawing then became his preferred means of expression, allowing him to give free rein to his imagination. At the age of 24, he collaborated with a director on the creation of several animated films and discovered new materials. He began to assiduously model heads, busts and characters, often from a fantasy and science fiction universe, approaching worlds that were hitherto unknown to him, those of miniature sculpture and figurines. . He also learned the techniques of molding, resin and welding which allowed him to devote himself to what he loved most: sharpening his sense of observation, expressing his creativity and developing his critical thinking. Today, he shares with us privileged and precious snapshots of the animal kingdom with hyper-realistic creations, reinforcing the idea of this unwavering bond between Man and nature.
