CHRIS MORIN-EITNER

A graduate in architecture and a travel photographer, Chris Morin-Eitner questions the ecological consequences of human activities on Earth.

His flagship series "Once Upon a Time Tomorrow" has toured the world and, closer to home, graced the cover of Beaux-Arts Magazine in April 2016.

What does Man do with the world he has inherited and appropriated without sharing?

Will he simply consume it and then quietly destroy it completely, as he has developed such a bad habit of doing?

Or will he finally come to understand and appreciate the wonderful balance from which he comes and live in harmony with the animal and plant species that inhabit it?

Will he be able to declare peace, elevate chlorophyll to the status of a deity, and pay homage to plants, modest, powerful, and silent beings?

The images in this series tell the story of this reconciliation of humanity with nature.

By photographing all the elements that make up his images himself (trees, plants, animals, clouds, city, graffiti…), he composes, in the form of a digital collage, an imaginary photograph of major metropolises: Paris, London, New York, Shanghai… where nature has reclaimed the space from which it had been excluded and where Man is not so far away…

At the Nature Forte gallery, he presents three other exclusive series: Peaceful Roots, The Silence of the Vines and More Real Than Life for which he intervenes himself on his prints, enhancing the images by hand, in a more plastic approach to his art.
