French photographer passionate since childhood about small animals and the photography he learned self-taught, S\u00e9bastien Malo first started with landscape, before finding a way to link his two passions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He now practices extreme macro photography, a technique that allows close-ups of very small insects and spiders. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This specialty allows him to discover details never seen before. Through his photos, he tries to share his discoveries, to challenge the viewer and to convey an ecological message by showing the beauty and richness of the nature that surrounds us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This photographic technique requires a lot of time, particularly because he assembled the installation he uses himself. It also requires a lot of patience to find the subjects, which he mainly collects already dead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

S\u00e9bastien also seeks to highlight certain little-known or hated animals, such as spiders, which have a prominent place in his work. By playing on scale, and giving the impression of beings of gigantic size, this body of portraits also highlights the immense force of nature, even in the infinitely small. <\/p>\n\n\n
